CAPITULO 10 (Parte 2)

Genial. Parecía que buscaban algo. O a alguien.

Encantado, tu eres Miranda no?
-Oye, antes te he visto cabreada...

Me voy a clase, adiós.

CHAPTER 10 (Part 2)

Hey guys! This is part 2 of the last chapter, hope you like it :)

Everyone was at the school park. It was sunny, but there was still some cold breeze. Most of the girls were laying down on the benches and the floor, using every moment of Sun there was.
I walked slowly, now I was more relaxed and the air calmed me. I sat down near the central fountain. My feet hang from the tall wall and the water sprinkled them, without really making them wet.
I tried getting out of my mind what had happened in the toilet. I tried to keep my mind empty. But I coudn't. Because every time I closed my mind somehow Alex managed to get inside. His eyes, his smile, his... everything.

So I opened my eyes to view the park. I saw Mary and the other two. Great. They looked like they were searching for something. Or someone.
Mary turned around and saw me sitting down at the fountain. She stared at me for a few seconds, her eyebrows and her lips tight. Her blue ayes had lost all signs of beauty and reflected pure evil. I think she wanted to say something with that look. She raised an eyebrow, as if expecting an answer, and I gave her one raising my eyebrow too.
She turned around throwing her hair backwards with her hands and walked quickly with her two little dogs following her. Of course. I was fed up. I decided that I really didn't care about anything she tried to do me.

The wind was now becoming warmer and a little stronger. I thought I was goind to fall asleep. That day could end right now and I wouldn't mind at all. I closed my eyes while seated and I felt my hair being moved gently by the wind. Everything just became silent...

Then I noticed someone had sat next to me. I opened my eyes and I was surprised to find that foreign guy that had been with Mary. I didn't even remember him. With all that stuff going on about Alex I had forgotten that the first day of school I saw them making out. It was unbelievable, how ambicious she was. She had this guy, and she was still pissed off if Alex flirted with me.

He wasn't looking at me. He looked downards, at the fountain. I observed him for a few seconds. The guy was cute. Honey eyes, blond hair... I wasn't surprised Mary had gone for him.
“Eric, right?” I said.
Suddenly he left his own world and looked at me.
“Yeah, I tought you wouldn't remember...” he smiled. “We haven't been introduced. Nice to meet you, you're Miranda right?”
“Yep.” I said while we shook hands. It was easy speaking to him.
“So, I saw you all pissed off before... is it to do with Mary?” he asked.
I was not in the mood of talking about that, but I didn't want to seem unpleasant.
“Yes... why?”
“Because I was also mad at her.”
“Really? What happened?”
“Pfff...” he sighed. “He used me, just like one more guy. Apparently as I was new, she went for me. But really, I was just another one on the list. She didn't even give any explanations. From a day to another, she stopped talking to me, I don't get it...
“You gotta be careful who you become friends with the first day of school...” I said. Of course. Mary had made him fall, like all of the other guys. I felt sorry for him, but he had looked for it. He shouldn't go kissing girls the very first day...
“I know, it was a mistake...”
I looked into his eyes, and I could see that personality. Mr prince Charming, who wanted to control the situation. I'm pretty sure Mary dumping him had been a real blow. I laughed inside. But he seemed a nice guy.
“What about you? What happened with her?” he asked.

When I opened my mouth to say something the bell rang. I grabbed my bag, fixed my hair a bit, and got up.
“It's a long story...”
He also got up. The sun shone bright, creating orange and pink reflections on the water.
“You'll tell me someday” he said.
“Hey, how do you speak Spanish so well?” I asked. I wanted to change the conversation.
“Hahahahaha” he laughed. “Good question. Emm, my mom's Spanish and that's why we came here. It's a long story too...”
“Oh... well, see you Eric. Gotta go to class, bye!”
We smiled and I left, walking towards the main door.
The sun was almost sunset. At last. It was Thursday. There was only one day left and that day would come. That day I longed so much.

CHAPTER 10 (Part 1)

So, as this is chapter 10 and it's a little short, there's gonna be a second part this weekend or even before :) Tell me if you want the next. Thank you to everyone that reads the novel, thank SO MUCH, really! :)

When I got out of the toilet, I was a little scared. There was Mary, as perfect as always, with Carly and Katherine at her back. It looked like one of those movie scenes, as ig they had actually practiced the whole thing. Probably that's what they'd done.
The three of them stared at me. Carly and Kate, Mary's two personal bodyguards, looked at me really exaggerating their angry face. They had their hand on their hips. Mary had her arms crossed, but she was not acting. She WAS angry, she was mad at me.

“Hi girls, what's up?” I said. I knew it was a stupid question and they would not answer it, but the truth is I didn't care if they were mad or not, I just wanted to leave the bathroom as soon as possible and sound as normal as possible.
“What about you? You must be really really happy, right?” said Mary.
“I suppose” I answered.
“Suppose? Don't start supposing. You know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. What were you doing with Alex? Don't you know he's already caught?” she said.
“Excuse me?” I couldn't believe what she was saying. Alex and her were not together... She stared at me again.

“Can you please tell me what you fucking pretend with all this? Alex and you are not together, get over it. He can talk to whoever he wants, same as me. Oh, and although what we talk is none of your business, I'll tell you. We're gonna go on a date. And HE asked. Let's see if your empty brain can understand that you're NOT WITH HIM. You don't own him anymore. You've never owned him. People are free to decide on their own, and Alex has taken a decision. Okay? You're not the centre of the world.

I think that moment I finally let go everything, all that rage I had inside for so many years, everything somebody should have told her before I did.
Mary was getting furious. Her face began to turn red. She stared at me for a long time with all the hatred that can exist in the world, pressing her teeth.
Suddeny, she exploded.

“Shut up! If you think your little speech can change what I think you're wrong.
She put her hand on my tummy and pressed me against the wall. She looked me in the eyes, and I saw all her frustration and ire.
“You understand?” she said.
Carly and Kate looked really surprised. Even them weren't able to believe that Mary had got to this point.
“Mary, come on, let's go to class...” said Carly.
“Yeah, just... let it go.” said Katherine.
I separated from the wall. This time it was ME who was losing control. I couldn't believe she reached this point. She had crossed the line. She was not threatening me. No.
“Who do you think you are to scream at me? Leave me lone! Don't talk to me, don't look at me, don't touch me. Let me live my life. Stop acting like this world belongs to you. Stop destroying every single moment of happiness in my life! I'm not gonna leave Alex, is that clear? If for you this is a game, you can bet I'm gonna be the winner.” I shouted.

I was relieved. At last. Someone had to tell her something, and I was happy that that person was me. I felt good for that. I leftt running and I slammed the door hard. I was furious and was not gonna calm down. I needed to relax.

CAPITULO 10 (Parte 1)

Holaa!

Me miró fijamente otra vez.

No me iba a amenazar. No.
No me hables, no me mires, no me toques.

Me había descargado. Me sentía bien. Estaba furiosa y no me iba a calmar ahora. Necesitaba relajarme...

Continuara..

CHAPTER 9 (NOVEL)

Hi everyone!
SORRY SORRY SORRY SORRY! I haven't been able to post anything because I have had no time, seriously, the day needs more hours... so I have given the blog a new design and here is a chapter which is a little bit longer than usual, and another "bit" :) I'll try to post another chapter as soon as possible!
For thos of you who don't know how to see other chapters, some of you have asked a few times:
At the bar on the RIGHT to have POPULAR ENTRIES (entradas populares), and underneath another section, where you'll see the names of the MONTHS. Because I started this in 2011, there's also TWO YEARS. THE EARLIER IT'S WRITTEN, THE OLDER IT IS, so here you can take a look at all of them. Remember there are some "bits" which DO NOT FORM PART OF THE NOVEL. All the Chapters are titled like this: "CHAPTER... (NOVEL)" I hope this helps and you don't get confused anymore! hahaha
And now, If you don't remember what happened in the last chapters: Miranda receives a message from that strange guy on Facebook, to add her as a friend, but it seems like she's forgotten and does not say anything to anyone. Next day, she finds Alex at high school and walks with him to class. He is about to tell her something important when she hears some steps...

 Mary.
I quickly pulled apart from Alex, even though I desperately wanted to stay right next to him.
Why did destiny let me touch what's unreachable and then took it away the next second?
Why, right now, did his EX had to find us?

She stared at us for a second, with not a very friendly look, specially at me. Her blond hair had golden reflections, her blue eyes looked as if made of glass. She wore a pink extra-short skirt... what a surprise, and a fuchsia blouse like the ones Barbie wore.
“Oh, am I interrupting something?” she said. “Alex, don't you have to go to class? Come on, I'll go with you to the physics lab.”
Damn. I would never be able to compete with her. She looked like a mermaid, and I, well, I just looked normal.

“Leave me alone, Mary. If you don't mind I'm gonna walk Miranda to her maths class. Bye.” he answered, to my surprise.
He grabbed my back and almost pushed me with his hand until Mary could no longer see us, although I knew she would have observed us for a few more seconds.
Before we disappeared she had thrown one of those looks, that would have destroyed me if it was a weapon.
“She doesn't leave me alone.” complained Alex.
“Mary?”
“Yeah. I think that she hasn't realised yet that there's nothing at all between us, especially when she sees me with another girl.” he answered.
“Oh.” I said.
We stopped when we reached the room. Once more, he stared at me. I leaned on the wall, observing how the corridor shone under the caramel sunlight.
He put his left arm on the wall next to my face. He smiled.

“I'm sorry for Mary interrupting us before.” he said.
His green eyes shone like never before, illuminated by the Sun. He stared deep into my eyes. I had never felt anything like what I felt right now.
In that moment, I only saw him, I only saw his perfect smile, his eyes, his skin, his body.
“What did she interrumpt?”
“I wanted to say something to you.” he said.
I couldn't response to what he had said, I was too occupied admiring the boy I had in front of me.
“Are you free this Saturday? I had thought that maybe we could go bowling. What do you say?”
I was so baffled... ALEX asking me to go on a date with him. Okay, I was definitely dreaming. I pinched my hand so he wouldn't see, to find out if it was real or just a product of my imagination. I hurt myself, so... it WAS happening.

“So?”
I wanted to say yes, to SCREAM out loud, jumping in excitement and then faint and fall on his arms so he could protect me, and then wake up and find his lips... Okay, maybe I'm a bit exaggerated, but that's what I felt.
“I think it's perfect, but I'm not really good at bowling, so.. don't laugh at me if I look silly... Watching me play is awful, seriously. I suppose you'll be really good.” I said, trying to make my voice sound as normal as possible.
“We can go anywhere... wherever you want.”
“No, no. Bowling is fine, you can teach me. Maybe I ca even get better...”
“Well, okay. At 5:30?”
“Course, I'll be there.”
The bell rang.
“See you then,” he said. Then he kissed my cheek for a long second.

Maybe that kiss did not mean much, but it made me burn inside, and I almost fell because I lost the equilibrium. Better he wasn't there to see it.
I entered the class, and by the way Carol and Lucy looked at me, I deduced I still looked baffled and out of place.
“What were you and Alex talking out there?” aked Lucy, anxious for a response.
Carol, hit her elbow like saying: “be more subtile!”, but that wouldn't answer her question and would not change her need for gossip.
“What? Can't I ak my best friend what's going on with her guy?” she said.
“I don't mind, Lucy, of course you can ask. She is SO desperate to know, Carol, that she can't control herself.” I laughed.
“Oh come on, are you telling us or what? I wanna know too! Haha” said Carol.
“Okay... Guess who has a date this Saturday!”
Both looked at me for a second, eyes wide open, and then histeria came. We started jumping and screaming like little girls, we would have broken a glass if there was one in the room. It was strange that window didn't break.

Suddenly a voice stopped us.
“Why are you so happy girls? Are you so enthuthiastic because we're starting the class? If you don't sit down right now, surpise test, let's see if that makes you happy too.” said the French teacher.
He had just come in, and everyone had their books ready on the table, sitting down, and silent. I blushed and everyone saw how ashamed I felt for our pathetics jumps.
“Yes, Monsieur, sorry.” I said.

The three of us walked to our place at the back row.
“He's such a pain in the ass...” said Carol.
“You're telling me? Uff...”
We sat down. The class was totally silent. Strange.
It was probably because the French teahcer punished every single erson who produced a noise which was not a pen writing or the sound of our breathe. Lucy had been punished quite a lot of times... she was really chatty.
“Miranda, you gotta tell me EVERYTHING. I mean EVERYTHING. Every single detail.” whispered Lucy. Did she want an immediate detention?
“Not now Lucy, you know how this one is, he gives a detention for anything.”
“Come on Miranda, pleaaaaaaaaaaaaase.... You left me intrigued now...”

“Ladies, please.” said the teacher. I hadn't noticed how close he was. “Private conversations AFTER class, at least after MY class. If you talk again, you'd be an hour detention this afternoon.”
He left his place and continued his class.

“For god's sake, he's like a fucking radar.” said Carol.
“Yeah, he's..”
“Enough, ladies, Lucinda and Caroline, you both have a detention after school.”
Great. Carol and Lucy on detention... At least I wasn't.
Then the bell rang. Eveybody gathered their books so quickly... and ran out of class.”
“Don't run!” the teacher shouted from the room.
Didn't he ever get tired?

We were out of class and Lucy and Carol threw out questions, and more questions... I answered all of them, fo course. With every single detail, because they were capable of gagging me to get all the information out.

It was free period. Carol went to buy some sweets and Lucy went with her. I didn't want to keep on with the questionnaire, so I went to the toiette.
The building was almost empty. They'd all be at the out on the Sun, I supposed.
I still didn't believe that Alex wanted me, ME, for a bowling session. My god, it was impossible.
I entered the bathroom, there was no one there. I got inside one. When I was inside, I heard some steps and whispering...

HOPE YOU LIKED IT! REMEMBER, IF YOU WANT THE NEXT, ASK ME VIA TWITTER! THANK YOU!

Sometimes things are not what they seem...

People are like books. Maybe the front cover gives you an idea, and a brief summary gives you hints on the story which can make it seem completely amazing. But then everything can change. The first impression is not always the right one, and you could have made a very big mistake.
People surprise you... those you barely know are the ones who can lie to you so easily. You may think you know someone because of the idea you have of him/her. But then eveything can turn around, that person you thought was good, suddenly becomes a stranger.  That's when things start not fitting the puzzle.
A part of you will always think of that person that your mind created: perfect. And the other part will battle, making you bump into reality. Sometimes, the truth hurts, but in the end, it is the truth. That's how things are.
The only thing we can do is turn silent and put up with it.

-Vaya, espero no interrumpir nada. ¿Álex, tú no tienes clase? Vamos, te acompaño a física.- dijo.
Maldita sea.

Adiós.- respondió éste a mi sorpresa.

Me sonrió.

¿Qué te parece?- me dijo.
Estaba alucinando. Me hice daño, o sea, estaba pasando.

-¿Y bien?

-Venga, Miranda, porfaa... Que ahora me has dejado intrigada.

Yo respondí a todas, claro.

Carol iba a comprarse algunas golosinas e Inés iba a acompañarla.

CHAPTER 8 (NOVEL)

Hi everyone :)
Well, first, I have to say I'm sorry for not posting anything but I have been through an exam week! But here you have a new chapter. Remember the last one? Miranda had had a nightmare related to Alex, and Eric, that strange guy, had added her on Facebook, where she discovered that his father was ill. What do you think will happen with this character?
In this chapter things begin to develop between Miranda and Alex... Tell me if you want the next one via twitter please! Thank you :)

The first bell rang as I walked through the hallway. I was REALLY tired, I hadn't slept thanks to the nightmare I'd had the day before and the intrigue I had about this guy... Eric. I went towards my locker to get the books for my class, maths. I was SO excited to solve quadratics right now, plus the headache I had was...

When I close the locker I almost had a heart-attack. Not because of the fright, but because the face at my right was so perfect that it took my breath away the fact that he was staring at me.
“Hi” he said with that sweet voice.
He was leaning on the locker next to mine. The sun rays that came from the window were reflected on him, making him look like something unreachable, a sculpture that you'd appreciate too much to even touch.

I was blocked. I didn't realise I had to answer back, but I think the word “hello” just wouldn't come out of my mouth.
“How are you?” he asked.
“I'm fine, thanks.” I managed to splutter.
“Di you receive my message? You didn't answer.”
“Emm.. yeah, I did receive it.” I said.
“Well, so yeah, my phone's fixed at last. What's your next class?” he asked just normally.
“Maths. And I am not in the mood for it. I hate maths, and yesterday I barely slept...” I said. II felt too nervous to keep talking.
“Well, that's something we have in common.” he said.
“In common?” I asked, confused by the statement.
“That's good, isnt it? I mean, never mind...” he said.

It seemed to me, but only seemed, that Alex was nervous too. But that was impossible. He would never get nervous because of me.
“I suppose.” I said, not sure if that was the right answer, while I walked to class with a pile of books on my arms. “Well, gotta go to class. Bye, see you later.”
I turned around but I noticed that my arm was being pulled backwards, gently.
“Wait” he said with his angelical voice. “I'll go with you.”

Incredible. In its exact meaning it was the perfect word to describe what had come out of his mouth.
“Yeah, why not.” I said, with an excitement that was maybe too noticeable.
We walked along the corridor, one beside the other, in silence. I felt how he wouldn't stop staring at me, observing every single movement I made. It was getting on my nerves, because they weren't just a normal pair of eyes those that looked at me.
“Can you tell me what you're looking at? Do I have something on my hair?” I said.
He laughed. I love it when he laughed.
“No, you have nothing. I was just looking at you because I love doing it. Does it bother you?” he said.
“Well... Never mind.” I answered. “What's your next class?”
“Physics”
“Wow, exciting.” I said.
“Yeah, a lot...” he said sarcastically.

We went up the stairs to the second floor. Halfway through, he grabbed my arm again, to stop me. Then he made me turn around so our faces almost met, a few centimetres apart. I was blocked again, I didn't know what to do. I felt his breath on my face, sweet.
“Miranda...”
Then I heard how someone came up the stairs.

CAPITULO OCHO (NOVELA)

Me quedé muda.

-¿Qué tal?- me preguntó.
-Bien, gracias.- conseguí balbucear.
-¿Recibiste mi mensaje? No me respondiste.
Quiero decir, bueno no importa.- dijo.
Me voy.

-No, no tienes nada. Simplemente te miraba porque me encanta mirarte. ¿Te molesta?- respondió.
-Bueno... Pero no importa.- respondí. -¿Qué clase tienes tú ahora?
-Física.- me dijo.

-Miranda...
Entonces escuché como alguien subía las escaleras.
