CHAPTER 8 (NOVEL)

Hi everyone :)
Well, first, I have to say I'm sorry for not posting anything but I have been through an exam week! But here you have a new chapter. Remember the last one? Miranda had had a nightmare related to Alex, and Eric, that strange guy, had added her on Facebook, where she discovered that his father was ill. What do you think will happen with this character?
In this chapter things begin to develop between Miranda and Alex... Tell me if you want the next one via twitter please! Thank you :)

The first bell rang as I walked through the hallway. I was REALLY tired, I hadn't slept thanks to the nightmare I'd had the day before and the intrigue I had about this guy... Eric. I went towards my locker to get the books for my class, maths. I was SO excited to solve quadratics right now, plus the headache I had was...

When I close the locker I almost had a heart-attack. Not because of the fright, but because the face at my right was so perfect that it took my breath away the fact that he was staring at me.
“Hi” he said with that sweet voice.
He was leaning on the locker next to mine. The sun rays that came from the window were reflected on him, making him look like something unreachable, a sculpture that you'd appreciate too much to even touch.

I was blocked. I didn't realise I had to answer back, but I think the word “hello” just wouldn't come out of my mouth.
“How are you?” he asked.
“I'm fine, thanks.” I managed to splutter.
“Di you receive my message? You didn't answer.”
“Emm.. yeah, I did receive it.” I said.
“Well, so yeah, my phone's fixed at last. What's your next class?” he asked just normally.
“Maths. And I am not in the mood for it. I hate maths, and yesterday I barely slept...” I said. II felt too nervous to keep talking.
“Well, that's something we have in common.” he said.
“In common?” I asked, confused by the statement.
“That's good, isnt it? I mean, never mind...” he said.

It seemed to me, but only seemed, that Alex was nervous too. But that was impossible. He would never get nervous because of me.
“I suppose.” I said, not sure if that was the right answer, while I walked to class with a pile of books on my arms. “Well, gotta go to class. Bye, see you later.”
I turned around but I noticed that my arm was being pulled backwards, gently.
“Wait” he said with his angelical voice. “I'll go with you.”

Incredible. In its exact meaning it was the perfect word to describe what had come out of his mouth.
“Yeah, why not.” I said, with an excitement that was maybe too noticeable.
We walked along the corridor, one beside the other, in silence. I felt how he wouldn't stop staring at me, observing every single movement I made. It was getting on my nerves, because they weren't just a normal pair of eyes those that looked at me.
“Can you tell me what you're looking at? Do I have something on my hair?” I said.
He laughed. I love it when he laughed.
“No, you have nothing. I was just looking at you because I love doing it. Does it bother you?” he said.
“Well... Never mind.” I answered. “What's your next class?”
“Physics”
“Wow, exciting.” I said.
“Yeah, a lot...” he said sarcastically.

We went up the stairs to the second floor. Halfway through, he grabbed my arm again, to stop me. Then he made me turn around so our faces almost met, a few centimetres apart. I was blocked again, I didn't know what to do. I felt his breath on my face, sweet.
“Miranda...”
Then I heard how someone came up the stairs.

CAPITULO OCHO (NOVELA)

Me quedé muda.

-¿Qué tal?- me preguntó.
-Bien, gracias.- conseguí balbucear.
-¿Recibiste mi mensaje? No me respondiste.
Quiero decir, bueno no importa.- dijo.
Me voy.

-No, no tienes nada. Simplemente te miraba porque me encanta mirarte. ¿Te molesta?- respondió.
-Bueno... Pero no importa.- respondí. -¿Qué clase tienes tú ahora?
-Física.- me dijo.

-Miranda...
Entonces escuché como alguien subía las escaleras.
